15. What is your weakness?

Answer:

This is a very common question every interviewer asks. The trick to answering this question is to talk about your weaknesses but emphasize on what you are doing to improve upon them. Self-awareness is one of the biggest tools to take you towards excellence.

To answer this question you can say something like: I had a difficulty in staying organized but implementing a time management system has helped me tremendously.

16. What according to you is the most difficult thing of being a Medical Representative?

Answer:

Doing the same jobs for years can be very difficult for a Medical Representative. Maintaining the enthusiasm that pushes you to get more sales is quite challenging. Also, travelling for many days in a month can also be a reason for irritation.

To answer this question you can say something like: The most difficult thing of being a medical representative is monotony of doing the same work for years. But, to keep up with the job and to make it exciting for me I speak to the patients who are using the product and how it has helped them. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to know that it has changed their lives. I feel satisfied that because of our product people are getting a better life. And, I'm playing a key role in the success of this product.

17. What are the main qualities required by a person to be a Pharma Product Manager?

Answer:

A product manager is the person who holds complete responsibility of development and performance of a product. This is a senior position which people secure with time and experience.

The main qualities required by a person to take up this role are:

i. Ability to stay focused even while multitasking.
ii. Passion and commitment for the product.
iii. Excellent analytical skills to understand the research and market analysis reports and derive meaning from them.
iv. Technically skilled to direct the product development team.
v.  Solution oriented with an eye for detail.
vi. Good understanding of taking the product to the market and selling it.

Excellent planning and team management skills along with good understanding of various drugs.
