5. Tell us about a time when you dealt with a lazy colleague.

A lot of us find a colleague who doesn't want to do his share of work himself. These people can be a trouble for others.

To deal with such people, it is important to make them understand the effect of their behavior on you rather than gossiping about. However, if you want to discuss it with a trusted colleague to seek an opinion, it is ok.

If you are helping someone once or twice with their work, it is OK but if you find yourself doing their work always while they choose to log out sharp at 6:00, there's a problem.

Here's what you can do in such a situation:

  • Discuss with them to find the reason and tell them how it is affecting you.
  • If they need a help with improving their skills, you can tell them the ways.
  • A lot of people improve after such discussions but if you don't see the things going anywhere, don't hesitate to inform your superior.
  • Make sure that you have substantial proof to support what you say.
